well the new year is at hand and  I am wishing you a belated new year.

Been looking at a number of events and subjects for the forthcoming year.

Its hard to decide, if any of you have any interesting ideas you would like to see me tackle let me know.

I have been reading about Tangier 1662-84 again, I don't know why this place or subject holds a fascination for me?

Anyway please feel free to make a constructive suggestion...looking at RALPHEUS post on Almanza, an interesting spot, although the weekend I was there was one of the wettest I have ever experienced in my life (that's saying something for an Irish person!!!)...

On the first day... I have decided to attempt a blog on my new Osprey book "battle of the Milvian bridge", inspired by my dear friend and volleyball compadré Joanna Mooney ( Huggie ). Lots of people ask me, how i do an Osprey book or how it all works? Its actually relatively straight forward. portrait of Fionn Brennan and his sons Well after a busy few months, with the completion of the last Osprey book, I've taken the opportunity to organise my studio, work up a few ideas and just catch up on the mundane necessities of modern life out. Its actually nice to take it easy for a few weeks, puttering around with ones own ideas and doing the normal things. But alas here in Ireland we have been buffeted all week with the tail end of the Atlantic's worst weather, so i didn't manage to benefit from our previous nice weather, i suppose its natures way of balancing the books weather-wise?
