....just been working out some extra vignette drawings, sometimes its better to take your time than push out work, that when considered may not have the required umpf (that's my take anyway!)

...take a deep breath, allow the insightful processing to trump the logical process, although it can lead to procrastination aswell ;¬)

When does insightful mental process become just procrastination???

Been putting Nicolas Benedict Robinson's workshop into action...so i will post some samples later, although its probably a stretch to expect myself to be able to produce the quality of oil painting Nicolas does, which took 3.5 years to learn with one day lecture ;¬)

On the first day... I have decided to attempt a blog on my new Osprey book "battle of the Milvian bridge", inspired by my dear friend and volleyball compadré Joanna Mooney ( Huggie ). Lots of people ask me, how i do an Osprey book or how it all works? Its actually relatively straight forward. portrait of Fionn Brennan and his sons Well after a busy few months, with the completion of the last Osprey book, I've taken the opportunity to organise my studio, work up a few ideas and just catch up on the mundane necessities of modern life out. Its actually nice to take it easy for a few weeks, puttering around with ones own ideas and doing the normal things. But alas here in Ireland we have been buffeted all week with the tail end of the Atlantic's worst weather, so i didn't manage to benefit from our previous nice weather, i suppose its natures way of balancing the books weather-wise? But this juncture has allowed me to look at a number of ideas/thoughts that have been whispering in my ear for sometime now.
